Gaziosmanpaşa

Gaziosmanpaşa, on İstanbul's European side, is bordered by Sultangazi to the north, Eyüpsultan to the east and south, and Bayrampaşa to the west. Once called Taşlıtarla for its stony, barren soil, the area grew after the 1950s as Balkan migrants settled there and became a district in 1963.
