The Karakoyunlu Ram-Headed Open-Air Museum is in Karakoyunlu district, 15 kilometres north-east of central Iğdır. It preserves a cemetery of around 1,500 ram-headed gravestones left from the Karakoyunlu Turkmen state, which ruled the region in the 14th century, showing Central Asian influence.
