Adıyaman
Adıyaman is known for the giant statues of Mount Nemrut, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Cendere Bridge, Arsameia and the Karakuş Tumulus around Kahta and the ancient city of Perre are its highlights, and Adıyaman çiğ köfte is famous. The province was badly hit by the 2023 earthquakes.

When to go
May to October; the road to the summit of Mount Nemrut closes in winter. Sunrise and sunset are the favourite times at the summit.
