Tekkeköy Caves lie on rocky outcrops in a valley watered by the Fındıcak and Çınarlı streams. Excavations beginning in 1941 uncovered stone, bone and wood tools dating back to the Palaeolithic, along with Bronze Age and Hittite finds. The site was declared a protected area in 1977 and opened to visitors in 2013.
