Letoon, near the village of Kumluova in Seydikemer district and about 4 km from ancient Xanthos, was the religious centre of ancient Lycia. Its first settlement dates back to the 7th century BC, and its centre holds three temples side by side dedicated to the goddess Leto and her children Artemis and Apollo. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List together with Xanthos in 1988; the site also has a fountain house, an early Christian church and the remains of a Hellenistic theatre.
