Çamlıyayla is a highland district of the Taurus Mountains at 1,150 m, formerly known as Namrun, covered in pine forest. Its summer population far exceeds its winter one; Namrun Castle, built in 1045, and a 1,100-year-old monumental juniper tree considered Turkey's oldest are found in the district.
