Built in 1933 as the Ali Şefik Hospital and later used as a school and then a teachers' lodge, the building was converted into the Akhisar Museum in 2012. The museum displays 1,451 archaeological and ethnographic artefacts in 11 sections, with the archaeology section showing finds gathered from the surrounding region.
