Vakıf Çamlığı, a 685-hectare area near Vakıf village in Tavşanlı district, forms a unique ecosystem where the endangered pyramidal black pine variety grows alongside the ebe pine, a variety found only in Turkey. The area also holds juniper, hairy oak, aspen and willow, and wildlife such as fox, badger, wild boar, hare, partridge and quail.
