Seydiler is a district named after Seyyid Zülfikar, who founded a dervish lodge here; the Seyyid Zülfikar Mosque, with its minaret dated 1113, and his mausoleum are the district's religious and historic highlights. During the War of Independence, one of the routes used to carry weapons and ammunition to Ankara passed through here.
