Mahmut Bey Mosque, at Kasaba village in Kastamonu's Daday district, was built in 1366 for Mahmud Bey of the Candaroğlu beylik. Its wooden ceiling was built entirely with mortise-and-tenon joinery, without a single metal nail, making it a rare example in Türkiye. The building was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023 as part of the "Medieval Wooden Hypostyle Mosques of Anatolia".
