Çiğli

Çiğli lies on the north shore of İzmir Bay, on the Gediz river delta. It is home to the İzmir Bird Paradise, which shelters large numbers of bird species, and the Çamaltı salt works, which supplies much of Turkey's salt. The Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone is also an important industrial centre here.
