Gelendost is a district of Isparta east of Lake Eğirdir, at 950 m elevation, with a 27 km shoreline on the lake. The 1176 Battle of Myriokephalon between the Byzantines and the Seljuks took place in this area. Its economy relies heavily on fruit growing, especially apples.
