Meydan Madrasa
A two-storey courtyard madrasa in central Hakkari, dating from the early 1700s.

The Meydan Madrasa stands in Hakkari's Biçer neighbourhood, east of the Kale Altı Cemetery. According to the inscription over its entrance, it was built in 1700-1701 by İbrahim Bey, son of İzzeddin. The two-storey building of cut stone has student rooms arranged around an inner courtyard lined with arcades, and the portal with muqarnas decoration on the south front stands out.
