Şabanözü

Şabanözü lies between the Aydos and Eldivan mountains in Çankırı, in the valley of the Sani stream, with Korgun to its north, Eldivan to its east and Orta to its south. Its history goes back to the Paphlagonian period (217–117 BC); it became a district in 1944 and lost part of its territory when Orta split off in 1959. It is known for its green beans, and its organised industrial zone produces electrical appliances and furniture.
